About me

I represent authors of high-quality non-fiction across history, ideas, and culture, and have worked with a broad range of prize-winning and bestselling writers from around the world. I am drawn to books authored by the very person you’d trust on the subject – those whose depth of scholarly or experiential knowledge is matched only by their exceptional prose and visionary ideas.

I joined Andrew Nurnberg Associates (ANA) in 2025, following a successful career in the publishing industry, primarily at Penguin Random House. Most recently, I served as Editorial Director at Viking/Penguin, and prior to that, I held the same position at The Bodley Head. I was recognised as a Bookseller Rising Star in 2023. Along the way, I have worked on books by authors such as:

History: Antony Beevor, Julia Boyd, the British Army, Simon Jenkins, Doris Kearns Goodwin, President Obama, Timothy Snyder.

Ideas: Daron Acemoglu & James A. Robinson, Russell Foster, Francis Fukuyama, A. C. Grayling, Ibram X. Kendi, Steven Levitsky & Daniel Ziblatt, Chelsea Manning, Mark Miodownik, Camilla Pang, Vaclav Smil, Yanis Varoufakis.

Culture: Nick Cave, Richard Coles, Will Gompertz, the Estate of John le Carré, the Estate of Spike Milligan.

These authors have been #1 bestsellers on both the New York Times and Sunday Times lists and have won major awards, including the Nobel, Baillie Gifford, Pulitzer, Wolfson History, and Royal Society Science Book prizes.

I am passionate about discovering exceptional talent and helping established authors elevate their careers globally. I guide writers through every step of the publishing process while advocating for their best interests, drawing on my extensive experience as a former editor. My goal is to secure the best deals for my authors and collaborate closely to craft impactful books that pave the way for enduring writing careers.

The following list of interests is not exhaustive:

History: Narrative history and world/big-idea history, exploring significant events and themes, including social, cultural, military, environmental, and economic history.

Ideas: Popular science, psychology, philosophy, politics, economics, smart thinking, technology, sociology, anthropology, and ethics, especially works that reveal new worlds, provoke thought, and challenge conventional wisdom.

Culture: Occasional titles on art, architecture, music, film, literature, fashion, food, sport, and cultural history, particularly those that intersect with broader societal themes and contemporary issues.
